Rodarius MarcellGreen[2] (born August 27, 1998), is a popular American singer and rapper. [3][4][5] He is known for his strong vocals and the incorporation of R&B and hip-hop,and has been acknowledged as a trailblazer of soul-trap.Wave became famous through the single of 2019 "Heart on Ice", which went viral on YouTube and TikTok and hit 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut album of Wave, Ghetto Gospel (2019), peaked at number 10 on the US Billboard 200. "8" The album that followed"Prayer 4 Love (2020), placed at the top of the Billboard 200.[9The album also included the smash single "Rags2Riches", that reached the top spot at 12 on the Hot 100. The third album, SoulFly (2021), debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 (marking his first album to chart tops). Wave's professional career started in 2016 with the release of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol.1. Prior to signing with Alamo Records, he released various mixtapes of his own. The mixtape PTSD was released on June 14 in 2019. It contained the hit song "Heart on Ice". The track became a huge success on YouTube as well as TikTok. It reached number 25 on Billboard's Hot 100. Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel (November 1, 2019,) came out. It ranked 10 on the US Billboard 200. Rod Wave's sophomore album Pray 4 Love, was released on April 3 of 2020. It debuted at the 2 position on the Billboard 200. The deluxe edition was released on the 7th of August. 9 of the songs on the album charted in the Billboard Hot 100. "S" (featuring ATR son Son) reached number 12 on the Hot 100. It became the most chart-topping song of his career. [14] On August 11 in 2020, Wave was included on the XXL's 2020 Freshman class. In July 2020, Wave revealed during an interview that He was working on his third album, which was originally planned for release on August 27, 2020. 2] He announced the tracklist for the album SoulFly on March 6 2021. His top-charting song, "Street Runner", was also included in the album. It peaked at number 11 on the Hot 100. [18][19] Wave released the track "Nirvana" in the latter half of 2021.
